- What is DALAL?
- DALAL creates creative workshops and slow moments in Dakar — painting, flowers, paper, shared tables, quiet afternoons. Sometimes you make something, sometimes you simply spend time.
- Do I need experience?
- No. Every experience is designed for people who have never done it before. Nothing is judged and nothing needs to be finished.
- Can I come alone?
- Yes, and many people do. Experiences are designed to feel comfortable whether you arrive with someone or by yourself.
- How do I book?
- Open the experience page and request your place. Submitting the form sends us a request — we reply on WhatsApp with payment instructions.
- When is my place confirmed?
- Submitting the form is a request, not a confirmed booking. Your booking is confirmed only once payment has been received and confirmed by DALAL. After confirmation, we send the exact location and practical information by WhatsApp. Places are allocated in the order confirmed payments are received.
- Is there a booking deadline?
- Bookings generally close 48 hours before each DALAL so we have time to prepare your experience thoughtfully. Some experiences close earlier depending on materials, venue or preparation. The deadline is always shown on the individual experience page, and once it has passed the page shows BOOKINGS CLOSED.
- What does my place include?
- Every experience page lists exactly what is included — materials, food, drinks and anything you take home. Prices are always shown publicly.
- Can I transfer my place?
- Yes. Tell us the new person's name before the experience so we can update the participant information.
- What happens if I cancel?
- More than 48 hours before your DALAL, your booking can be refunded or transferred to another available DALAL. Within 48 hours, cancellations are non-refundable as materials and preparations will already have been arranged — but you may transfer your place to someone else.
- What happens if DALAL cancels?
- You can choose between a full refund or transferring your booking to another available date.
- Are DALAL experiences accessible?
- Accessibility varies by space. Each experience page lists only the access information we have verified, including its limitations.
- Can I tell you about an accessibility requirement?
- Please do. Need an adjustment to participate comfortably? Tell us when booking and we will do what we can, or tell you plainly if we cannot.
- Will I be photographed?
- Only if you agree. When booking you choose: yes, non-identifiable images only, or no photography at all.
- Can I book DALAL privately?
- Yes — Private DALAL creates experiences for birthdays, friends, families, couples and small celebrations.
- Do you create experiences for teams?
- Yes. DALAL for Teams designs creative and slow experiences for organisations, studios, institutions and companies.
- Where do DALAL experiences happen?
- In Dakar. The exact location is shared after your booking is confirmed, by WhatsApp.
- Do you have a permanent venue?
- Not for now. DALAL works as a flexible experience platform using carefully chosen partner spaces.
